Bessa III 667, The horizontal alignment of the rangefinder

I needed to fix the horizontal alignment of the rangefinder of my Bessa III some time ago.

After thorough reading of an excellent article for this matter

I decided to adjust the rangefinder by myself rather recklessly.

And the following is the process that I found and did.

In front of the hot shoe terminal there is a very tiny groove. (picture 1)

                                                                                                                                      (picture 1)

By sticking a toothpick in this groove and lifting it up at the same time

you can lift up the thin metal cover.

Then you can push and slide it out toward the rear of the camera body. (picture 2 and 3)

                                                                                                                                           (picture 2)

                                                                                                                                          (picture 3)

There are 4 phillips-head screws. Remove them. (picture 4)

                                                                                                                                       (picture 4)

You can lift up the flash terminal which is just lying on the top. (picture 5)

                                                                                                                                   (picture 5)

Now you can see three slot-head screws. (picture 6)

                                                                                                                                     (picture 6)

The second one (the middle one) is for the horizontal adjustment.

You need to adjust the screw little by little.

Counterclockwise turn moves the patch image to the left.

I don't know about the two other screws. I've never touched them.^^

That's all I did. I guess you probably know how to reassemble.^^
